Do you need a prescription or referral to start physical therapy?
New York is a direct access state meaning you can be evaluated and treated without a prescription. However, if your treatment extends beyond 30 days or 10 visits, whichever comes first, you will need to see a physician for a referral.

Will someone guide me while I am exercising?
At Function Enhancing Physical therapy we strongly believe that all patients must be closely supervised and guided through their exercise program, and will never be left unattended.

What do I need to wear to physical therapy?
Wear comfortable loose fitting clothing and a pair of rubber soled shoes/sneakers.

Is your facility clean/safe?
Every room/treatment area and equipment is cleaned and sanitized prior to every patient. Since the start of the COVID pandemic we have followed all CDC sanitization recommendations.

Do you offer private treatment rooms?
At Function Enhancing Physical Therapy you have the option of being treated in private treatment rooms.

How about if I don’t have insurance?
For patients that do not have insurance we offer discounted rates and treatment packages.
