Nicolaos Spiratos is the founder of Function Enhancing Physical Therapy. He founded Function Enhancing Physical therapy in 2006, having a vision of providing individualized, quality physical therapy services with treatments focusing on communication and touch.
Nicolaos received his Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Touro School of Health Sciences, where he also received his Bachelors of Science. Prior to earning his dual degree he received a Bachelors of Arts Degree from Hofstra University, majoring in Natural Science.
Nicoloas possesses over 20 years of clinical experience in orthopedics, sports rehabilitation, neurologic care, and geriatric care. His passion is patient care and empowering his patients with knowledge. He believes that when a patient has a clear understanding of what is going on with their body it eliminates the anxiety and unknown associated with injury and disease. This empowers the patient, producing quicker, and longer lasting results. The other major component to his treatment approach is manual therapy. Nicolaos believes that proper healing can only be attained through the power of touch. He strives to have his entire team apply this method.
Emmanouil earned his physical therapy degree from the Technological Educational Institute of Lamia, Greece. He also possesses a degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Technological Educational Institute of Athens, Greece.
Emmanouil's 20 years of clinical experience include orthopedics, sports rehabilitation, and adult rehabilitation.
His active participation in the sport of soccer is what inspired him to become a physical therapist.
Dimitris is a graduate of the Swedish Institute of Health Sciences, Massage Therapy Program, and also holds an Associate Degree in Advanced Personal Training.
His dynamic background gives him an understanding of the body that is valuable when assisting with patient care. Patients love Dimitri's energetic personality. His attention to detail and ability to encourage patients to reach their full potential is yet another reason why patients enjoy working with him.
Dimitris is an accomplished track and field athlete who won the national championship of Cyprus in the 800m race in 2007, 2009, and 2011. He has competed at the professional level in Europe and was a semifinalist in the 2009 European championships.

Mathew is a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor with the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and is currently working on becoming a certified health coach.
